Program Description

Study abroad in one of the most ancient and diverse cities in Spain . . . Granada! Explore the narrow, cobblestoned streets of the former Muslim quarter, the Albaycin, wander the passageways of the Alhambra, or enter the white-washed caves of the Gypsies and experience the passion of a flamenco performance.

You will study at the Instituto Mediterraneo Sol (IMSOL) located in Granada's historic center. Walking to class you will pass through winding cobblestone streets and hidden plazas. Spanish classes are taught in two historic buildings dating to the 16th century. IMSOL attracts students from all over the world and its not uncommon to encounter several nationalities in the same class. The Sol Education Abroad Granada program is the ideal program for students interested in Spanish immersion and studying abroad in Spain. Granada is the perfect location due to its unique culture, wonderful student vibe, and relaxed atmosphere. ¡Olé!

The program and coursework is administered by Lynn-approved provider SOL Education Abroad. All students will take a language placement test and will be enrolled in the appropriate Spanish language level course. All students who successfully complete the course will receive credit for DJLC 200: Spanish Language and Culture in Granada, Spain, which meets the J-term requirement for Language and Culture.
