Fall and Summer 2020 semester scholarships

Elaine Johnson Wold American College Dublin (ACD) Scholarship
continuous supporter of Lynn University and its students, Elaine Johnson Wold has generously provided scholarship funds to cover the cost of tuition for eligible and qualified students who choose to attend American College Dublin (ACD) during a fall, spring, or summer term. Up to three scholarships are available each term.

Aoife Mallon Tuition (ACD) Scholarship
Any student from Lynn who is in good academic standing, participates in University extracurricular activities, and will be a good ‘Ambassador’ for the United States, is eligible. A Lynn student can apply by submitting a letter to ACD explaining why they would like to attend ACD and visit Ireland. This scholarship is available to one Lynn student per annum and for one summer semester term (4 week or 8 week). 

CIEE Open Campus Student Grants
In support of the Institute of International Education’s (IIE) Generation Study Abroad initiative CIEE will increase overall scholarships and grants to $20 million by 2020. As part of this commitment, CIEE is pleased to offer Lynn University three, $3,000 grants. These grants will be available to students studying at any CIEE Global Institutes in Fall 2020. Also, CIEE is offering three, $2,000 flight vouchers for students going to specific locations.

CIEE Latin America Grant

In support of the Institute of International Education’s (IIE) Generation Study Abroad initiative CIEE will increase overall scholarships and grants to $20 million by 2020. As part of this commitment, CIEE is pleased to offer Lynn University a $9,000 grant. These grants will be available to students studying at any Latin American CIEE Global Institutes in Fall 2020. Also, CIEE is offering three, $2,000 flight vouchers for students going to specific locations.

The study abroad providers that have partnered with Lynn University to provide the Lynn-approved semester programs offer a variety of scholarship opportunities. Eligibility for financial assistance varies depending on the program, the term and need, among other factors. Good Colleges Study Abroad Award

The Study Abroad Award essay competition is open to current and future college students who are interested in studying abroad. To enter, write a 150-250 word essay on this round's theme. Good College’s scholarships are designed to be easy to apply for and to promote positive study attitudes.

Tortuga Backpacks Study Abroad Scholarship

Tortuga Backpacks provides study abroad funding to students with a desire to take amazing extracurricular trips while studying abroad. This scholarship is awarded biannually to qualified American undergraduate students, as well as students who have a U.S. visa, who are interested in exploring more of the world during their international program.

Deadlines: May 20th (fall semester) & December 20th (spring semester)

Award: $1,000 & a Tortuga travel backpack

The NextGen Scholarship

The NextGen Scholarship was created to help international or American students, whether high school seniors or those pursuing undergraduate degrees, complete higher education degree programs in the United States. Every year, one scholar is awarded based on merit and financial need.

Award: $1,000

The Gilman Scholarship Program offers awards for undergraduate study abroad and was established by the International Academic Opportunity Act of 2000. This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study and intern abroad programs worldwide.
